Military Consumer Protection Day 2014

Military Consumer Protection Day (MCPD) is a joint initiative of the Federal Trade Commission (http://www.ftc.gov/), the Department of Defense (http://www.defense.gov/), the U.S Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (http://www.consumerfinance.gov/), and other federal, state, and non-profit agencies designed to empower active duty and retired servicemembers, military families, veterans and civilians in the military community about consumer issues.

Military Consumer Protection Day 2014 is Wednesday, July 16th. The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division website, www.GotYourBackArkansas.org, offers tips, tools and resources for all consumers. Of particular importance to military families, the Federal Trade Commission hosts military.ncpw.gov, which provides tips sheets, information and blog posts from national consumer protection experts.
