The Attorney General of Arkansas Tim Griffin is seeking to hire an investigator to serve in the Medicaid Fraud Division. This position investigates criminal and civil allegations of Medicaid fraud, False Claims, and allegations of Abuse, Exploitation, and Neglect of endangered adults under the direct supervision of the Chief Investigator, overseen by the Deputy.
Essential job functions include:
- working with outside State and Federal agencies
- maintaining working knowledge of the Medicaid Program
- conducting highly complex investigations involving large volumes of medical and financial records
- planning and conducting both civil and criminal investigations related to Medicaid provider fraud, abuse, exploitation, and neglect by contacting and interviewing defendants and witnesses
- testifying as needed in court and administrative hearings
- maintaining all investigative equipment in good working order
The successful candidate will:
- have a formal equivalent of a bachelor’s degree
- have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in investigations, preferably with some medical background
- have knowledge of word processing and electronic spreadsheet applications
- be skilled in effective oral and written communication, researching and interpreting rules and regulations and applying investigative techniques and procedures to assigned cases
- be skilled in time-management, handling multiple tasks, be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- be able to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback and work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
