The Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin is seeking to hire a Legal Assistant to serve in the Criminal Division. Come and be a part of a dynamic team that works to support the administration of justice through the final criminal review process.
Responsibilities include providing administrative support to attorneys, including preparation of correspondence, legal briefs, and responses; assisting with document management and electronic filing; and maintaining case files. The position also involves supporting multiple attorneys engaged in both litigation and non-litigation matters and handling telephone and public inquiries in a professional manner.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of legal secretarial experience and possess strong organizational, communication, and word processing skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting attorneys in both litigation and non-litigation practice areas, as well as familiarity with electronic filing systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, case management software, and Microsoft Outlook is required.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintain a high level of professionalism, and work collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
