SPECIAL AGENT-MEDICAID FRAUD DIVISION
The Attorney General of Arkansas Tim Griffin is seeking to hire a certified law enforcement officer to serve as a Special Agent in the in the Medicaid Fraud Division. Special Agents shall investigate allegations of Medicaid fraud and allegations of abuse and neglect in Long Term Care Facilities under the direct supervision of the Senior Assistant Attorney General, overseen by the Deputy.
Essential job functions include:
· working with outside State and Federal agencies
· maintaining working knowledge of the Medicaid Program
· compiling data into investigative reports
· planning and conducting both civil and criminal investigations related to Medicaid provider fraud, abuse, and neglect, by contacting and interviewing defendants and witnesses
· testifying as needed in court and administrative hearings
· maintaining all investigative equipment in good working order
· maintaining all law enforcement certifications including annual firearm qualifications
The successful candidate will:
· be a certified Arkansas law enforcement officer
· have a formal equivalent of a bachelor’s degree
· have a minimum of 5 years of experience in criminal investigations
· have knowledge of word processing and electronic spreadsheet applications
· be skilled in effective oral and written communication, researching and interpreting rules and regulations and applying investigative techniques and procedures to assigned cases
· be skilled in time-management, handling multiple tasks, be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
· be able to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback and work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
