Rutledge Issues Statement in Response to Dallas Police Shootings
July 10, 2016
LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today released a statement in response to the attack in Dallas, Texas against law enforcement.
“As Arkansas’s chief law enforcement officer, I urge all Americans to reject this type of evil, hatred and violence being directed at law enforcement,” said Attorney General Rutledge. “Like the officers in Dallas, Arkansas’s dedicated members of law enforcement get up every day with one mission: to keep their neighbors and communities safe. I cannot begin to imagine the pain and sorrow being felt by the moms and dads, husbands and wives of these fallen and wounded officers in Dallas because they too wear the badge. We must stand together and lift up our members of law enforcement and thank them for their service and sacrifice. My prayers are with the fallen, their families, the wounded and our entire law enforcement community.”
