    Rutledge Welcomes Summer Interns

    LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge has accepted 16 students from across the State into the Attorney General’s Office internship program.

    “Internships are a vital part of higher education,” said Attorney General Rutledge. “The real world experience these students will receive this summer will make them valuable employees, no matter their career choice, in the future. I look forward to watching these students grow and learn.”

    Jacob Brown is a sophomore, studying mechanical engineering at the University of Arkansas. He is a native of Little Rock and graduated from LISA Academy in 2014. Brown is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Katherine Calaway graduated from Arkansas State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and is currently attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She is a 2010 graduate of Valley View High School in Jonesboro. Calaway is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Crystal Carey will graduate this fall from College of the Ouachitas with an Associate of Applied Science degree in medical office administration, medical coding and medical billing. She is a 2001 graduate of Bismarck High School. Carey is working in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

    Courtney Cox grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Arkansas, where she joined the Arkansas Army National Guard. She is a business administration major at the University of Central Arkansas. Cox is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Claire Frueauff is a sophomore, majoring in political science at Hendrix College. She is a native of Little Rock and graduated from Parkview Arts and Science Magnet School in 2014. Frueauff is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Kelven Hadley, Pine Bluff, is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he is studying political science. He is a 2014 graduate of Ridgway Christian Academy. Hadley is working in the Public Protection Department.

    Meredith Herring, a 2013 graduate of Bryant High School, is a junior at the University of Central Arkansas, where she is studying political science. Herring is working in the Civil Department.

    Hayden Hosto, Little Rock, is a sophomore, studying finance and international relations at Lehigh University. She graduated from Pulaski Academy in 2014. Hosto is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Wyatt Miller, a junior, is studying economics at the University of Arkansas. He is a Little Rock native and graduated from Catholic High School in 2013. Miller is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Bradley Neugent, a 2014 graduate of Bryant High School, is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas, where he is majoring in international relations and international security. He is working in the Public Protection Department.

    Julio Olaya Jr. is a junior at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he is studying economics and public policy. Growing up in Little Rock, he graduated from Pulaski Academy in 2013. Olaya is working in the Criminal Department.

    Jasal Pothi, Sherwood, is studying English and politics at Pomona College in Claremont, California. He graduated from LISA Academy in 2014 and is a sophomore. Pothi is working in the Public Protection Department.

    Jordan Preston, a 2012 graduate of Lakeside High School, is a senior at the University of Arkansas, where she is majoring in accounting. Preston is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Christopher Sparks, Berryville, is a senior majoring in print journalism at Arkansas Tech University. He is a 2011 graduate of Berryville High School. Sparks is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Jeremy Steuart grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia, and later moved to Texas, where he graduated from Cypress Ridge High School in 2012. He is a senior, studying political science at the University of Arkansas. Steuart is working in the Community Engagement Department.

    Cara Tomlinson is a senior at Lyon College, where she is studying English and economics. She is from Searcy and graduated from Riverview High School in 2012. Tomlinson is working in the Community Engagement Department.
