Attorney General Griffin Announces Kevin B. Lee as New Deputy General Counsel

Griffin: ‘We continue to attract world-class talent to serve the State of Arkansas’

LITTLE ROCK – Attorney General Tim Griffin issued the following statement announcing a new hire in his office:

“I am thrilled to welcome Kevin B. Lee as our new Deputy General Counsel. He comes to us after having served as a Judge Advocate for the U.S. Army in Germany since 2019, and his education and diverse prior experience show that we continue to attract world-class talent to serve the State of Arkansas.

“Creating the Office of General Counsel was one of the first structural changes I made as Attorney General, and it has had exactly the beneficial effect I anticipated. As Deputy General Counsel, Kevin will work closely with General Counsel Zach Mayo in providing high-quality legal advice about both the internal operations and the external priorities I have set for this office. They have been invaluable to our team as we provide representation to the State and navigate a wide range of complicated legal issues on behalf of Arkansans.”

Prior to his military service, Lee served as in-house legal counsel for the New York Stock Exchange and as an associate at Milbank LLP in New York. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D.) and Amherst College (B.A.), Lee brings a wealth of legal expertise in both public service and private practice.
