“What’s the Fuss About Fentanyl”

Fentanyl is killing Arkansans and devasting our communities. The Arkansas State Crime Lab documented over 200 deaths from fentanyl from 2020 to 2022, and the threat continues to grow. We will host a law enforcement and community training on Tuesday, October 29 with a presentation by Professor and Vice Chair for Research at UAMS, Dr. Alison Oliveto “What’s the Fuss about Fentanyl,” and Naloxone training by Called2Duty. Law enforcement who attend this training event can receive two hours of CLEST credit.

The event will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., in the Student Union ballroom at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Lunch will be provided following the training. Recognizing that the fentanyl problem is rampant is a critical first step.


Stop Overdose Summit

The Summit features six breakout tracks:

Clinical track – Pharmacists, Nurses, Doctors, and others in the medical field
Counseling/Recovery track – Anyone who is involved in the counseling and recovery field
Criminal Justice track – Law Enforcement community
Education/Prevention track – Educators, Community coalitions, and anyone involved or interested in the education and prevention of opioid abuse
Family track – For any family and friends impacted by opioid abuse
Youth track – For high-school age youth (NEW THIS YEAR)

The Arkansas Army National Guard Office of Legal Assistance, the Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin, Arkansas Access to Justice Commission and Foundation, and the UA Little Rock Bowen School of Law Veterans Legal Services Clinic invite you to attend a free CLE training on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. This will be a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual attendance options.

If you choose to register as a virtual attendee, the webinar link will be sent the day before and day of the event.

Our office has applied for 3.0 hours of CLE credit. This course has been approved for 3 hours of CLEST credit.
