The Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (“IGA”) serves as the liaison between the Office of Attorney General and all levels of government – federal, state, and local. All contact with our federal delegation, constitutional officers, members of the General Assembly, mayors, county judges, justices of the peace, etc. flows through the IGA team. Most notably, IGA runs point on state legislative sessions and manages a cross-division team of attorneys to review every bill filed at the state level to ensure the proposed laws are constitutional. Further, IGA ushers through the Attorney General’s policy initiatives and legislative package.
