One Pill Can Kill (OPCK) CLEST Trainings

This summer, the Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin will host four regional law enforcement and community trainings. The One Pill Can Kill initiative is a college-focused program to raise awareness of the danger of fentanyl. The Office supplies Fentanyl Harm Prevention kits to campuses that rollout the initiative. This course has been approved for 3 hours of Continuing Law Enforcement Standards Training (CLEST). These events are FREE and open to the public.

Elder Abuse and Consumer Protection Conference

Registration is now open for the Elder Abuse and Consumer Protection Conference, Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at The Venue at Westwind. This all-day event is free and open to the public. Law enforcement, medical professionals, providers, attorneys, and home caregivers are welcome to learn how to better protect older and developmentally disabled adults.

The office has applied for 6 hours of CLE (Continuing Legal Education) credit and 6 hours Continuing Law Enforcement Standards Training (CLEST) credit. This event is pending approval for 6 general hours of continuing education by the Arkansas Insurance Department and 6 CEU hours of Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) continuing education.


Social Media Summit

Attorney General Tim Griffin issued the following statement:

“I am excited to announce that I will host the Social Media Summit on October 7-8 at the Statehouse Convention Center and Marriott Hotel in downtown Little Rock. The summit will bring together experts from various fields to present on the challenges and risks posed by social media, including scams, threats to minors, and interference by hostile foreign actors.

“Admission to the summit is free and open to anyone interested in this topic. The sessions will be useful for law enforcement, educators, parents, mental-health professionals, those interested in cybersecurity and national security, and generally anyone who wants to know more about how to safely navigate the social-media landscape.

“We have a fantastic lineup of presenters for the Social Media Summit, and we will announce them throughout the summer. I hope anyone who is interested in this topic will register—for free!—and join us on October 7-8.”


Stop Overdose Summit

Early bird registration is now open for the 14th annual Stop Overdose Summit, Tuesday, November 18th at the Hot Springs Convention Center. This event is FREE and open to the public.

The Summit features six breakout tracks:

  • Clinical track – Pharmacists, Nurses, Doctors, and others in the medical field
  • Counseling/Recovery track – Anyone who is involved in the counseling and recovery field
  • Criminal Justice track – Law Enforcement community
  • Education/Prevention track – Educators, Community coalitions, and anyone involved or interested in the education and prevention of opioid abuse
  • Family Support track – Open to all
  • Youth track – For high-school age youth
