Law Clerk Program

The Attorney General’s office employs law clerks throughout the year in its Civil, Criminal, Medicaid Fraud and Public Protection departments. Typically, each department has two law clerks, with new clerks being named every spring, summer and fall.

The Attorney General strives to give Arkansas law students the first opportunity to clerk with the office. Interviews are conducted in the fall with students at the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville for clerkships the following summer. Interviews on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law campus occur during the spring semester for clerkships inthe following fall and spring semesters. In-State students should sign up for an interview through their Career Services Office when interview dates are posted at the law school.

Positions not filled through this process may then be opened to students from universities outside Arkansas.
